Michael W. (Mike) Petzold of Millington passed from our world into God’s Kingdom early Friday morning December 2, 2011 at his residence, Mike was 54.

Michael W. Petzold the son of Willard and Carolyn (Beaven) Petzold was born in Saginaw Michigan on April 28, 1957. Mike has been a lifelong Millington resident, and was a graduate from Millington High School class of 1975. After school he completed his college education from Delta College in Saginaw Michigan and graduated as an Operating Room Technician.  On April 24, of 1981 Mike married his wife of 30 years Miss Cynthia (Cindy) Slosser.  Over the years Mike worked for area hospitals but also worked with his father in the day to day operations of Petzold Farms.  He also was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir, sang with the praise team, and did a lot of solos for many church services.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory his wife Cindy, children: daughter and son in-law Kristy & Mike Soteropoulos, son and daughter in-law; Jacob & Tina Petzold, Parents Willard & Carolyn Petzold, two sisters and brothers in-law, and a brother and sister in-law: Luanne & Wayne Jaruzel, Alan & Val Petzold, and Sharon & Tom Keinath, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. 

The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Sunday from 1:00 Pm to 8:00 PM.  The Funeral services will be held on Monday December 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington. Pastor James Bruner will deliver the funeral message and closing prayers at the cemetery, the burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Mike will lie in state at the church on Monday from 11:00 AM until the services begin. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
