Gregory E. Brown, age 70, of Tawas City, Mich. passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Iosco County Medical Care Facility.

Greg was born June 24, 1941 in Grand Rapids, Mich. to Francen and Myra (Gregory) Brown.

Greg grew up in Essexville, Michigan and graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1959.  Greg received his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in 1964.  He was employed by Scott Paper Company in Ohio, the State of Michigan, Highway Division in Lansing, and owned and operated a flower shop in Okemos.  Greg enjoyed hunting and fishing, cooking, and a good game of cards.

Greg is survived by his mother, Myra Brown; son, Gregory (Jennifer) MacKay; daughter, Tamra (Louis) Weber; grandchildren, Jacqueline and Louis “Tiernan” Weber; brother, Randall (Kerry) Brown; sister, Barbara (William) Kanaga; aunt, Ruth Hertlein; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey (Annette) Brown, Randall W. Brown, Emily (Brian) Sherman, Eric (Kristin) Kanaga; great nephew, Jack Brown; great niece, Amelia Brown; cousins, David Gregory, Janice Huntly, James Hertlein, Jonathon Hertlein.

Per Greg’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Arrangements entrusted to the C.L. Forshee & Sons Funeral Homes, Inc., Au Gres Chapel.
