Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Evans & Brownes Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue.  Pastor Marvin T. Smith will officiate.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Willie James Floyd, Jr. passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the age of 61 years. He was born August 23, 1950 in Tuskegee, AL to Willie James and Lessie (Boyd) Floyd. 

Mr. Floyd leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Linda Floyd; two daughters, Sonia Payne, Grand Rapids, MI and Sabrina Brittain, Saginaw, MI; one son, Kenji Brittain, Saginaw, MI; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Vicky (Michael) Moore-Smith and Estelle More; four brothers, Danny More, John More, Johnny (Rosemary) More, Lansing, MI and Larry More; and many other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie James and Lessie (Boyd) Floyd; daughter, Linda Curry and son, Damon Brittain.
