Lula Belle Walters, Age 93, passed away Friday April 20, 2012. Daughter of WM & Maude (DeLaurier) Bowers, born and raised in Butman Township. Lula Belle married Ward Walters November 21, 1936. They lived in Flint until Ward passed away in 1972. Lula Belle moved back to Gladwin, she worked at Goldbergs Department Store until it closed. Lula Belle then worked at Gettlemans and Jeans & Things both in Gladwin. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, and a long time member and past District 20 President for the Rebekah's.  Lula Belle and Ward raised four daughters: Cleo and Ward Heath of Gladwin, Marilyn and Don Yeager of Coleman, Joanne and Sherman Fassett of Beaverton, and Bonnie and Doug Bosman of Gladwin, and son: Jerry & Sandy Walters of Gladwin; 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 10 Great Great Grandchildren; brother: Max Bowers of Gladwin. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson: Neil Fassett; and sisters: Beatrice Benmark, Pearl Myers, and Evaleen Walters. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012, from 4-9pm at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, 440 E. Cedar Ave., Gladwin. A Remembrance Service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2012, 1:30 pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Gladwin, with Pastor Timothy Verity officiating. Visitation will begin at the church on Wednesday at 12:30 pm until the time of service. A Rebekah's service will be held Tuesday evening. Burial will be in Butman Township Cemetery, Gladwin.
