LaVier, Jack T. (Tom),

Saginaw, Michigan.

 Beloved father and grandfather passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at his home. Age 73 years. The son of the late Herbert and Kathrine (Millhisler)  LaVier, Jack was born June 9, 1938 in Midland, Michigan . He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #314. Jack married Janet Ann Churchfield. She predeceased him February 17, 2012. Jack was employed at G.M. Delphi and a member of U.A.W. Local #699. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Jack loved spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.

 Surviving are two daughters and three sons, Julie and Brian Gamm, Vassar; Kathrine LaVier and her friend,  A.J. White, Saginaw;  Jeff Churchfield and his special friend Tracy Hestekin, Minnesota; Tim and Laurie Churchfield, Minnesota; Dave and Heidi Churchfield, Saginaw;  seven grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Mashue; three brothers, Herb LaVier, Rich and Emily LaVier, Buster and Barb LaVier; many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother, Gertrude Davidson, Liddie Albee, Louella Kilbourn, Donna Kenyon and Alex LaVier.

 Honoring Mr. LaVier’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00     a.m. Monday, April 30, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd., Saginaw.  Rev. Fr. David Parsch will officiate. Friends may call at Holy Spirit Catholic Church where the family will be present on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
