Arno E. Loesel

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Independence Village of Frankenmuth, age 104 years.  Arno was born June 3, 1907 to WM & Barbara (Hauck) Loesel.  He married Selma P. Block on June 26, 1932.  She preceded him in death on December 21, 1980.  He then married Erna Wirth in 1984.  She also preceded him in death on December 27, 2006.  Arno was a lifelong member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.  He farmed all his life until retiring in 1969.  Arno enjoyed playing euchre and mowing his lawn.

Surviving are a son, Robert (Sally) Loesel of Frankenmuth, a daughter, Janet (Jerome) Korf of Frankenmuth, grandchildren, Kim(Brian) Hake of Casco, Laura(Jerry) Bock of Warren, Peggy (Jay) Andrews of Mason, Roger Loesel of Columbus, OH, Paul Loesel of New York, NY, Sandy (Duane) Weber of Millington and Randy Korf of Venice, FL, stepchildren, Arlene (Wilbert) Wirth of Vassar, Carolyn (John) Wirth of Reese, Raymond Wirth of Vassar, and Frances (Jim) Doud of Richville, and 12 great-grandchildren.  Arno was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Henry Clouse and his granddaughter, Connie Korf.

Funeral services will take place on Monday April 30, 2012 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.  Rev. Joel C. Kaiser will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Cemetery.  Arno’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Media Ministry or Lutheran Hour Ministries.  Please sign our guest book or share an online condolence with the family at www.cederbergfh.com
