     Passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at Hoyt
Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 101 years.  Geraldine LaFever was born April 23, 1911 in
Saginaw to the late Alex and Anna (Hoern) LaFever.  She married Arthur S. Stroebel in 1928.  He predeceased her in 1984.  She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic
Church.  Surviving are four daughters and
one son, Phyllis Russell, Delores (Matthew) Penney, Donald (Sue) Stroebel,
Donna Donoghue and Diana Fox; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 8
great-great-grandchildren; one brother Thomas (Eunice) LaFever; many nieces and
nephews.  She was predeceased by three
sons-in-law, James Russell, Richard Donoghue and Michael Fox.  She was also predeceased by several brothers
and sisters.  The family would like to
extend their thanks to units 100 and 200 of Hoyt Nursing and Rehab for their
loving care.

     Funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00
a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W.
Michigan.  Rev. John Johnson will
officiate with entombment in St. Andrew Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the W. L. Case and
Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 -
8:00 p.m. on Monday where they may meet with relatives at 7:30 p.m. for a vigil
service.  They may then call at the
church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral liturgy.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may
wish to consider SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church or Chosen Vision, a home in
Lansing for mentally and physically challenged people.
