Kasper, all of Saginaw; Brian H. and Dorothy Louks, Eldersburg, Maryland; Scott W. and Sheri Louks, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; Robert C. and Melanie Louks, Evans, Georgia; nine grandchildren, AnnJanette (Matthew) Toth, Krysten Cormier, Teresa Szczepanik, Martha Louks (Art Williams), Aaron (Shannon) Louks, Hannah Louks, Emma Louks, Carl (Lauren) Louks, Carolyn Louks; four great-grandchildren, Adrianna Toth, Patrick and Luke Szczepanik, and Leontes Louks; two sisters, Arlene Keller and Dorothy Johnson; several nieces, nephews and their families.
Affiliations: He had been employed by Saginaw Steering Gear for 34 years, retiring in April of 1987. He was a member of Ames United Methodist Church.

          Passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at HealthSource,  Saginaw. Age 84 years.

          He was born January 10, 1928, in Caro, Michigan, the son of the late Joyce (Bailey) and Olin Louks. He graduated from Caro High School. He served with the Merchant Marines during World War II, and served with the US Army after the War. He married Adeline M. Partlo on February 26, 1949 in Caro; she survives him. He had been employed by Saginaw Steering Gear for 34 years, retiring in April of 1987. He was a member of Ames United Methodist Church.

          Surviving besides his wife Adeline, are six children and their spouses, Cathy M. and Malcolm Cormier, Gregory R. and Julie Louks, and Judy M. Kasper, all of Saginaw; Brian H. and Dorothy Louks, Eldersburg, Maryland; Scott W. and Sheri Louks, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; Robert C. and Melanie Louks, Evans, Georgia; nine grandchildren, AnnJanette (Matthew) Toth, Krysten Cormier, Teresa Szczepanik, Martha Louks (Art Williams), Aaron (Shannon) Louks, Hannah Louks, Emma Louks, Carl (Lauren) Louks, Carolyn Louks; four great-grandchildren, Adrianna Toth, Patrick and Luke Szczepanik, and Leontes Louks; two sisters, Arlene Keller and Dorothy Johnson; several nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and Gary Louks. His family extends special thanks to all the staff at HealthSource for their kindness and care.

          Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Ames United Methodist Church, 801 State Street. Rev. Mark Karls will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and then at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
