Helen E. Grice, 80, of Midland, took her first steps into heaven to be in the glory of God on Sunday, May 6, 2012 with the love of her family surrounding her.  She was born May 14, 1931 in Virginia,
daughter of the late Thomas and Miriam (Myers) Mahaffey.  She married Harry Kielpinski in April of
1951, and he preceded her in death in 1954.  She then married Elmer Grice on May 27, 1955, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 2000. 

She was dearly loved by her family and will be missed by her children, Thomas Grice of Mt. Pleasant, Kathy (Bruce) Becker of Midland, Mary (Tracy) Clark of Midland, Dorothy (Mike) Schwind of Sanford, Barb (Ken) Stebbins of Midland, and Chuck (Martha) Grice of Midland; sister and brother, Anna (Raymond) Hoffman of Shepherd, and Bill (Kathleen) Mahaffey of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Jason Grice, Zarah (Jesse) Douglas, Matt (Becca) Becker, Luke (Theresa) Berryhill, Jared (Michelle) Berryhill, Andrea (Chris) Strom, Eddie (Kala) Schwind, Elizabeth and Amelia Stebbins, Isaiah and Rachel Grice; and seven great grandchildren.  She was preceded her in death by her daughter, Lizzy Grice.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday, May 10, 2012, from St. Agnes Catholic Church, 2500 N West River Road in Sanford.  Fr. Daniel J. Fox, OFM Cap. will officiate, with graveside burial rites in Midland  Memorial Gardens  Cemetery.  Family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until time of Mass.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Agnes Catholic Church, or the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Midland.
