REIMER, Ronald C. – of Birch Run, age 81, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church, 8101 Poellet Rd. in Birch Run. Rev. Dr. Richard P. Hillenbrand officiating.  Burial will be in Birch Run Cemetery with military honors provided by the Birch Run VFW Post # 7542. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Tuesday from 1-9 PM and at the church on Wednesday from 10AM until time of services at 11 AM. Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Ron was born on December 18, 1930 in Bridgeport to the late Louis and Irene (Ross) Reimer. He was a resident of Birch Run most of his life. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married Marie Bauer on June 22, 1963 in Richville. Mr. Reimer retired from Wicks Lumber in Saginaw in 1994 with 35 years seniority. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He enjoyed sports, bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are: wife, Marie; children, Candace (Kevin) Stowell of Freeland, Wade Reimer of MN; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas Tucker, Alex Stowell, Jennalee Stowell and Alaina Stowell; brothers, Kenneth (Helen) Reimer, Dennis (Gloria) Cooper, Donald Cooper, Martin Cooper, all of Birch Run; sisters, Darlene Morris, Nancy (Paul) Ellis, Sheila DiBerardino, all of Birch Run, Tooney (Terry) Sprowl of Frankenmuth, Debbie Chapman of Clio, Shelly Check of Birch Run; many nieces and nephews.
