Schultz, Mrs. Mary,
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Tendercare in Midland. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Lenio) Yaruczewski, Mary was born June 9, 1918 in Syracuse, New York. She married Stanley J. Schultz Sr. on June 24, 1939 at St. Rita Catholic Church. He predeceased her September 17, 2003. They were married for 64 years. Mary was a member of St. Josaphat Catholic Church and a life member of its Altar-Rosary Society, the St. Josaphat Home and School Association, the Legion of Mary and the League of Catholic Women. In 2007, she moved to Midland and made her home at Washington Woods Senior Assisted Living Complex, where she became a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church.
Surviving are one son, two daughters and their spouses, Stan and Joyce Schultz, Saginaw; Kathy and John Smith, Midland; Mary Jane and David Yatch, Saginaw; six grandchildren and their spouses, Steve and Amy Schultz, Stacie Schultz and her fiance Greg Meter, Saginaw; Jason and Valerie Yatch, Saginaw; Jeff Smith, Midland; Amy and John Sosville, Colorado; Jared Yatch, Mackinac Island; nine great-grandchildren, Sarah, Laura and David Schultz, Ava and Alexis Yatch, Austyn and Andrew Smith, Anna and Flynn Sosville; several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose Bastuk, Jane Barnovitz and Ann Cichowski.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 12:00 noon Monday, June 11, 2012 at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 207 Ashman Street in Midland, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Patrick O’Connor will officiate. Interment will take place 3:00 p.m. Monday at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at St. Brigid Catholic Church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The St. Josaphat Altar-Rosary Society will pray the Rosary 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. There will be a Vigil Service 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Brigid Building Fund or Heartland Hospice.
