Janice Mabel Wilcox (Parkinson)
Bay City, Michigan
Janice passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at Heartland Healthcare in Saginaw, age 77. She was born September 21, 1934 in Midland to the late Floyd and Cecelia (Black) Bradley. Janice retired from the State of Michigan Department of Social Services on November 1, 1994. She spent her retirement years playing darts, and making silk floral arrangements for her granddaughter’s weddings. She enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles, reading and flower arranging. Janice was also, an avid Red Wings fan.
Surviving are her five sons: Casey and Mary Jo, James and Debra, Joseph and Josette, Raymond and Rhonda Parkinson and Michael and Liz Wilcox, her grandchildren: Anna Barton, Janice and Eric Davis, Andy and Amie Parkinson, Saree and Bradley Pudvan, Joseph, Zach, Bobby and Victoria Parkinson, Jenifer and Adam Cantrell, Cody and Joshua Jean, Ben Parkinson, eight great grandchildren and several cousins. Janice was predeceased by her husbands, Wilbur Lee Parkinson and Edward Roatch Wilcox.
The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 12:00pm at Squires Funeral Home. Linda Studniarz will officiate. Graveside interment will be in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Kawkawlin. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00am until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Bay County Humane Society.
