Emeott, Edwina Katherine (Kay)
Saginaw, Michigan
Successfully and faithfully completed life's journey on Saturday, June 16, 2012.
Age 79 years. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 25, 1932, a first
generation Polish descendant of the late Joseph and Mary (Majka) Suhan. At
the age of 17, she married her devoted life-long partner, Dale W. (Bill) Emeott
on September 16, 1950. He survives her.
As a faithful parishioner of SS. Peter & Paul and Holy Spirit Catholic churches,
she was ever proud of her Polish Catholic heritage, together with anchoring the
South Intermediate School undefeated Girl's Volleyball team of 1946-47.
Life's mission for Kay was defined within her family, particularly given to her
mother Mary, son Willie, and coffee-drinking sister-in law cohort Mary (Braley)
Emeott. She especially enjoyed counseling her errant grandsons Jason, Luke,
Brian (Claudine), and Doug on the "graces of life."
Besides husband Bill and her grandsons, she is survived by a son and
daughter-in-law, Danial and Irene Emeott; a sister and brother-in law Dorothy
and Jack Murphy; many nieces and nephews. Kay was pre-deceased by her
son William D. Emeott along with several siblings and in-laws very dear to her.
