Survived By: She is survived by her children and their spouses; Patricia Hubbard, Norma and Earl Campbell, Robert and Frances Sauer, George and Marty Sauer Jr., Kay and Richard Nagel, Dennis and Sherry Sauer and Donald and Edna Sauer, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and her nieces, nephews and friends. On June 9, 1935 at Grace Episcopal Church she married her husband George Clarence Sauer Sr. and he preceded her in death along with her parents; Frank and Margaret Schultz, one son-in-law; Bill Hubbard, one sister and four brothers.
Affiliations: Bertha was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, she enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling them with her wonderful baking.

Sauer, Bertha Elizabeth Caroline of Bay City, Michigan passed away unexpectedly Tuesday after noon on June 26, 2012 at her residence.  Age 98 years. She was born August 7, 1913 in Wyandotte, Michigan and has resided in Bay City all of her life.  Bertha  was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, she enjoyed  spending time with her family and spoiling them with her wonderful baking. 

She is survived by her children and their spouses; Patricia Hubbard, Norma and Earl Campbell, Robert and Frances Sauer, George and Marty Sauer Jr., Kay and Richard Nagel, Dennis and Sherry Sauer and Donald and Edna Sauer, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and her nieces, nephews and friends.  On June 9, 1935 at Grace Episcopal Church  she married her husband George  Clarence Sauer Sr. and he preceded her in death along with her parents; Frank and Margaret Schultz, one son-in-law; Bill Hubbard, one sister and four brothers.

Funeral and Committal Services will take place Monday, July 2,  2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church.  Officiating will be Rev. John W. Wernecke with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m..  Mrs. Sauer will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 12:00 noon  and until the time of services.  Memorial cards for Zion Lutheran Church will be available .
