Dittmar, Ella B.

Hemlock, Michigan

            Passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at her residence, age 83 years.

            Ella was born in Ingersoll Township, Michigan June 23, 1929 the daughter of the late Otto and Anna (Neunfeldt) Tessin.  She married Warren Dittmar.  He predeceased her in 1958.  Ella was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock.  She enjoyed sitting outside watching the birds and kittens in the yard and doing word searches.  Her love in life was sporting events, especially baseball, in which her grandchild and great-grandkids played.  Ella always enjoyed a cone of black raspberry ice cream after a ball game.  Her second love in life was playing cards.

            Ella is survived by two daughters, Diane Dittmar and Donna Reagan; one grandson, Brian (Bonny) Smith; three great-grandchildren, Neil, Johnny and Blake; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Wilburt.

            The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church  17927 Dice Rd. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate with burial in Richland Township Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. Thursday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Friends may also call at church Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Merrill Youth Baseball Program.
