Ojars Spule

Saginaw, Michigan

      Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the Cartwright Care Residence.  Age 74 years.

       The son of the late Valija (Rudzitis) and Janis Spule was born December 29, 1937 in Liepaja, Latvia, coming to the U.S.A. in 1950.  He married Skaidrite Kempe, May 22, 1965. She survives him.  He had been employed as a Draftsman with Ferrell-Ross and retired from R.C. Engineering in 1999.

He was a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church and the Latvian Saginaw Club.  He had been a member of the Richville Gun Club, enjoyed the out-of-doors, gardening, his family and especially his grandchildren.  He will be missed greatly by his family and all who knew him.

      Surviving besides his wife, Skaidrite, are a daughter and son-in-law, Erika and Daniel Ardouin, Saginaw, MI; two grandchildren, Cash Ardouin and Vivienne Ardouin; three sisters-in-law and their husbands, Vilma Kempe; Lilija and David Jaeger; Rita and Raymo Dallavecchia; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Ilze Rudzitis and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Aina and Viktor Kalninsh.

      The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw.  Rev. Robert L. Franklin will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the Chapel from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Latvian Lutheran Church.
