KUKLA, RONALD L.
Essexville
Age 67 years, died Saturday, July 21, 2012 in McLaren Bay Region. He was born October 26, 1944 to the late Leo and Evelyn (Balcer) Kukla in Bay City. Kook retired from General Motors Corporation in 2002 after 39 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Essexville, and the U.A.W. Local 467. Ron enjoyed coaching his kids in all sports, playing Fantasy Football, Pinochle Online, cards, and hunting camp. He derived much pleasure as the Master Cookie Maker for his grandkids. Most recently he enjoyed spending time with his son and cleaning “Kooks Bar”. Kook loved being needed and never refused to help anyone.
On February 15, 1969 he married the former Carol Goik who survives him along with their two sons and daughter and ten grandchildren: Todd (Lisa) Kukla and their children: Nathan, Cassidy, Cayden, Nolan; Chad (Anne) Kukla and their children: Madyson, Braydan, Amersyn; Kelli (Clint) Schmidt and their children: Cole, Ava, Khloe; his brothers: Paul (Chucky) Kukla, twin brother, Don (Sharon) Kukla; Norm (Diane) Kukla; his sister: Grace (Jim) Szczepanski; his father-in-law: Art Goik; and a large loving family of in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Patricia; mother-in-law: Florence Goik.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11:00 am in St. John the Evangelist Church, Essexville with Rev. Ricky M. Varner presiding. Memorial contributions may be designated for St. John’s Church. The Vigil Prayer Service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Trahan Chapel. Visiting hours with the family will be Wednesday from 1 to 5 and 6:30 until 8:30 in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel; and on Thursday in church after 10:00 am.
