Lila Sue Ann Bodrie
Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, at the Cartwright Care Center. Age 82 years.
Lila Yaklin was born November 13, 1929, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, the daughter of the late Jacob and Aurelia (Bryant) Yaklin. She married Frederick Bodrie September 18, 1948; he predeceased her April 2, 1995. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Sue Ann (Greg) Brueck, Bridgeport; Mary (Bruce) Kuznicki, and Nancy Bodrie, Saginaw; one grandson, Michael F. Bush, and one granddaughter, Kathryn Kuznicki; one great-granddaughter, Mallory, and one great-grandson, Brandon. She was predeceased by four brothers and one sister, Norman “Sonny” Yaklin, Loren Yaklin, John “Jack” Yaklin, Judy LaFleur, and Grant “Guy” Yaklin, and by one sister-in-law, Althea “Midge” Kellogg. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Judy Yaklin; many nieces, nephews, and their families; and a special neighbor and friend, Dorothy Rankin.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 3945 Williamson Road. Rev. Fr. John Mancini, O.S.F.S., will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00- 9:00 p.m. Thursday where a parish vigil will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Friends and family may then gather at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
