(Pauline) DeMott Sr., Darlene (Stanley) Bruzewski, Robert (Sandie) DeMott, Etta (Alan) Roth, and Norma (Roger) Stein; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters: Norman Mead, Virginia (Leonard) Thompson, Helen (Chuck) McKinnen, Anna Marie (Bud) Lawson, Edie Shaffer, and Al Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. DeMott, son, William "Whitey" DeMott; two grandsons, Jeffrey Stein and Eric DeMott; five brothers: Phillip, Godfrey, Robert, Joseph, and Paul Mead.
Affiliations: Betty worked for Green Thumb. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Essexville, BOB Club, and TOPS. Betty enjoyed bowling and especially spending time with her family.

Age 90 years, died Friday, August 3, 2012 at The Carriage House of Bay City.  She was born to the late Phillip and Edith (Burdette) Mead on February 17, 1922 in Uhricsville, Ohio.  Betty worked for Green Thumb.  She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Essexville, BOB Club, and TOPS. Betty enjoyed bowling and especially spending time with her family.

 

Survivors include five children: Donald R. (Pauline) DeMott Sr., Darlene (Stanley) Bruzewski, Robert (Sandie) DeMott, Etta (Alan) Roth, and Norma (Roger) Stein; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters: Norman Mead, Virginia (Leonard) Thompson, Helen (Chuck) McKinnen, Anna Marie (Bud) Lawson, Edie Shaffer, and Al Davis.

The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM in St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 206 Scheurmann St., Essexville, MI.  Betty will lie in state in church Thursday after 10:00 AM.  Rev. Eric A. Stone will officiate and private interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Forever Fighters, P.O.
