Keie, Mrs. Mary E. (Porlas) of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Monday, February 1, 2010, at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. Age 99 years. Mary was born on November 8, 1910, in Saginaw, to the late John and Frances (Mikula) Kania. She was first married to Rudolph Porlas in 1929 and he predeceased her in 1956. She then was married to Alfred Keie in 1961 and he predeceased her in 1979. Surviving are her children, Jeannette Klein; and Ralph (Dorothy) Porlas, all of Saginaw; her grandchildren, Dave (Rachael) Porlas; Dennis (Roxanne) Klein; Rick (Barbara) Klein; Richard (Rochelle) Klein; James (Nancy) Klein; Janice Klein; and John Martzowka; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank (Eleanor) Kania, Midland; one sister, Agnes Klein, of IL; one son-in-law, Verne Martzowka, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Marie Martzowka.

  Funeral and committal services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. Mr. Kenneth Streeter, Executive Director of the City Rescue Mission, will conduct services. Private burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., then on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
