Loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Tuesday, February 09, 2010 at his home.  Age 76 years.

The son of the late Guadalupe and Patricia (Sanchez) Soliz was born on January 4, 1934 in Austin, TX. He married Frances Alfaro on November 3, 1956.  She survives him.    He served in the US Army.  Federico worked for GM, retiring after 39 years of service.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist church.

Surviving besides his wife are five children and their spouses; Federico (Elizabeth) Soliz, Jr., Roberto R. Soliz, Anna M. (James) McGrath, Eliza M. (Kevin) Cole, Lydia S. Soliz; 13 grandchildren;  Nicholas Soliz, Jessica Soliz, Roberto Marcos Soliz, Armando Rito Soliz, Monica Anne Soliz, Jessica Lafountain, Christy Anne Martin, Patricia Coleman, Chester  Coleman, Jr. Brionna Coleman, Aaliyah Mitchell, Shannon Nicole Eddy, Adam Jared Fanger; 6 great-grandchildren; Raymond Eddy IV, Markus Martin, Owen Martin, Danica Martin, Jalina Bauer, Angelina Bauer; three sisters, 5 sisters-in-law; 5 brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a grandson Brandon Kenneth Cole.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Church, 545 Maple Ridge.  Fr. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate with cremation to follow.  Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd on Friday from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00p.m. where a vigil will be held at 7:00p.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Diabetes Association.  www.casefuneralhome.com
