Survived By: Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years, two sons and their families, Martin (Jackie) Hornacek, two grand daughters Amy Jo (Robert) Wozniak, and Jennifer & Michael Pavan, a great grand daughter Molly Wozniak, and a great grandson Jack Pavan, son Thomas (Marion) Hornacek, two grand daughters Mindy (Mark) Regius, Sarah Hornacek & Fiance Neil Staffard, two great grandsons Mark Jr. and Maxwell Regius, and a step grand daughter Lori LaFave, a brother Stanley, and a sister in law Janet .

Mr. Hornacek age, age, 83 passed away on Tuesday February 9, 2010 at his home with his family by his side.  He was born on April 3, 1926 in West Mayfield, Pennsylvania to the late Victor Martin & Anna (Sedler) Hornacek.  Robert married the former Verna Belle Tedhams on October 16, 1949 in Alma, MI at the Methodist Church she survives him.  He is a  member of the Pinconning United Methodist Church, the Pinconning Lions Club and the Flint Lions Club.  Robert worked in the retail grocery business all of his life.  He started out in Alma, Michigan, moved to Flint and built the Pinny Food Center in Pinconning which opened in 1971.  Robert loved seeing the public and spending time talking with the customers.

 

Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years, two sons and their families, Martin  (Jackie) Hornacek, two grand daughters Amy Jo (Robert) Wozniak, and Jennifer & Michael Pavan,  a great grand daughter Molly Wozniak, and a great grandson Jack Pavan, son Thomas (Marion) Hornacek, two grand daughters Mindy (Mark) Regius, Sarah Hornacek & Fiance Neil Staffard, two great grandsons Mark Jr. and Maxwell Regius, and a step grand daughter Lori LaFave, a brother Stanley, and a sister in law Janet .  Robert was predeceased by a daughter in law Karen Hornacek, and his father and mother in law Harvey & Leah Tedhams.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday February 12, 2010 at 11 am from the Pinconning United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Mosher presiding with inurnment in Sunset Valley Crematory.  Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.  On Friday at the church from 10 am until time of service.  In Lieu of flowers donation can be given to the Pinconning Food Pantry, the Pinconning United Methodist Church or the Mid-Michigan Hospice if you need addresses please see our website at www.leeramsayrivertownfh.com
