Survived By: She is survived by three children Randall (Geri) Hodder, Kathleen Jones and Ardi (James) Tomczak, seven grandchildren; Kyle, Jason, Jennifer, Ryan, Jeremy, Randy Jr, and Kim,16 great grandchildren and one great great grandson, two brothers; Fredrick-Daniel Lambert, and Francis (Ruthann) Lambert, and a sister Doris Girard

Mrs. Hodder age 89, loving mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013.  She was born on February 18, 1924 in Linwood, Michigan to the late William & Lena (Wackerle) Lambert.  She married Jesse W. Hodder on May 26, 1943.  He predeceased her on February 20, 1995.  She was a member of the New Life Missionary Church and retired from Pinconning Area Schools where she was a cook for many years.  Millie was an avid golfer, horseshoe player and won many trophies on her softball league until age 81, and was  a singer in the Bells of Harmony, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She is survived by three children Randall (Geri) Hodder, Kathleen Jones and Ardi (James) Tomczak, seven grandchildren; Kyle, Jason, Jennifer, Ryan, Jeremy, Randy Jr, and Kim,16 great grandchildren and one great great grandson, two brothers; Fredrick-Daniel Lambert, and Francis (Ruthann) Lambert, and a sister Doris Girard.  She was predeceased by 14 brothers and sisters and a grandson Timothy Jones.

 

Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 16, 2013 at 11 am from the New Life Missionary Church with Pastor Jonathon Boyer presiding with burial in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Rivertown Funeral Chapel on Friday from 2 to 8 pm.  On Saturday Millie will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of service. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to McLaren Bay Hospice for the compassionate care Millie and her family received.  In lieu of flowers those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the family’s wishes.
