Survived By: Left to cherish his memory besides Diann, his loving wife of 31 years, are his son Jamie of North Dakota; his daughter Julie of Bay City; his granddaughter Breanna of North Dakota; his sister Judy (David) Wise of South Dakota; his brothers Charles of South Dakota, Michael (Carol) of Akron, Philip (Cindy) of Bay City, and Greg (Linda) of Unionville; his mother-in-law Arlene Daniels; his sisters-in-law Kathy (Dan) Spiker, Charlene (Greg) Schmidt; and Cheryl (Jim) Schlink; his lifelong friend Bob Schweinsberg; his dog Hunter Buddy; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Jacobs, Dennis L. “Jake” of Bay City, Michigan passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at Brian’s House at the age of 58.  Son of the late Louis and Virginia (Christie) Jacobs, Dennis was born April 25, 1951 in Bay City.  He married the former Diann Daniels May 6, 1978 in St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church; she survives him.  Dennis was baptized in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  He served his country in the US Air Force and was employed in the auto industry for numerous years.

 

Left to cherish his memory besides Diann, his loving wife of 31 years, are his son Jamie of North Dakota; his daughter Julie of Bay City; his granddaughter Breanna of North Dakota; his sister Judy (David) Wise of South Dakota; his brothers Charles of South Dakota, Michael (Carol) of Akron, Philip (Cindy) of Bay City, and Greg (Linda) of Unionville; his mother-in-law Arlene Daniels; his sisters-in-law Kathy (Dan) Spiker, Charlene (Greg) Schmidt; and Cheryl (Jim) Schlink; his lifelong friend Bob Schweinsberg; his dog Hunter Buddy; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.  Besides his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his father-in-law Charles Daniels, his sister Mary Ellen Jacobs, and his brother Gary.

 

The Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Stapish Cederberg Funeral Home East.   Burial will be in the Great Lakes National Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m., and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may care to consider memorials to the wishes of the Jacobs family.
