Survived By: He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolie. Four children, Laura (Randy) Michaels, Terri (Michael) Rasmussen, Lynette (Mel) Brockmiller and Cheryl (Bob) Morey. Six grandchildren, Katie, Sami, Olivia, Nathan, Trevor and Tyler. Also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Dunn and Jane Welsh. He is preceded in death by two siblings, Bill and Lillan.
Affiliations: Mr. Brockmiller was born June 29, 1933 in Owosso, Michigan to Walter and Anna (nee Lehman) Brockmiller. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran and a General Motors retiree. His number one love was singing with the Charlotte Chorale in Florida. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hale and Faith Lutheran Church in Punta Gorda, where he enjoyed singing in both church choirs. He was also a member of the German-American Social Club.

ROBERT J. BROCKMILLER of Hale, Michigan and Punta Gorda, Florida passed away June 16, 2013 at 79 years of age.

 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolie.  Four children, Laura (Randy) Michaels, Terri (Michael) Rasmussen, Lynette (Mel) Brockmiller and Cheryl (Bob) Morey.  Six grandchildren, Katie, Sami, Olivia, Nathan, Trevor and Tyler.  Also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Dunn and Jane Welsh.  He is preceded in death by two siblings, Bill and Lillian.

 

Mr. Brockmiller was born June 29, 1933 in Owosso, Michigan to Walter and Anna (nee Lehman) Brockmiller.  He was a Korean War Navy Veteran and a General Motors retiree.  His number one love was singing with the Charlotte Chorale in Florida.  He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hale and Faith Lutheran Church in Punta Gorda, where he enjoyed singing in both church choirs.  He was also a member of the German-American Social Club.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 407 S. Washington in Hale, Michigan.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 P.M., Thursday from 12-8 P.M. at the Hale Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 121 S. Washington and Friday at church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.  Interment will take place on Saturday at Wilkinson Cemetery in Corunna, Michigan.  Memorial contributions suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  Words of sympathy may be shared at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
