ANDERSON, Shirley A. of Bay City, Michigan.  Age 87 years, died Friday, March 5, 2010 in Bay Regional Medical Center.  She was born to the late Joseph S. and Minora W. (Minkel) Lanthier on May 1, 1922 in Duluth, MN and resided in Bay City most of her life.  Shirley was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving our country during WWII.  Before her retirement, she was employed as a teacher’s aide with the Bay City School System.

On August 31, 1946, Shirley married Louis Anderson and he preceded her in death on November 28, 1999.  Surviving family members include three children, Allen (Mary Jo) Wood, Noralee (David) Jobe, and Mary Margaret (Leonard) Norman; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; as well as her brother and sister, Joseph R. (Mary Ann) Lanthier and Katherine Rigney.    

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Susan G.
