Survived By: Elnora is survived by her three daughters: Ann Aldrich of Midland, Arna (Richard) Robinson of Fruitport, Lynn (Barry) Peterson of Brant; seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Jon) Levy, Jeremy (Esther) Aldrich, Nicholas (Samantha) Robinson, Andrea (Anthony) Douglas, Chelsea Robinson, Erika (Kenneth) Speace, Kimberly Peterson; seven great grandchildren; one brother: Donald Mason; two sisters: Reathel Clerc and Phyllis Ostrum.
Affiliations: Elnora had been employed by Saginaw General Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1990. She loved gardening, caring for the family dogs, sewing, and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing cards and board games. Elnora was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family.

WESTENDORF, Elnora D.

Of Brant, formerly of Hope Twp., Midland County passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was 81 years old. She was born on December 23, 1928 in Hope Township to the late Lloyd and Mary Mason.  She married George E. Westendorf, Jr. on February 15, 1947 in Midland. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1982.

 

Elnora had been employed by Saginaw General Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1990.  She loved gardening, caring for the family dogs, sewing, and crocheting.  She also enjoyed playing cards and board games.  Elnora was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed by her family.

great grandchildren; one brother: Donald Mason; two sisters:  Reathel Clerc and Phyllis Ostrum.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Westendorf, Jr.; two sisters: Rosetta Stanchfield and Imogene Westendorf; and former son-in-law, Donald Aldrich.

 

MEMORIAL SERVICE: According to Elnora’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State). Rev. Paul R. Hinz will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
