Went home to his Lord unexpectedly Sunday, April 20, 2014; age 83 years.  Carl was born on April 7, 1931 in Frankenmuth, MI to the late Norman and Anna Mossner.  Carl served in the U.S. Army from 1953 – 1955.  He married Marian Laux on August 31, 1957, she survives him.  Carl was a lifelong farmer and previously employed at Buick City, and Bay Auto Auction.  He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church Frankentrost, loved to travel and polka dance, and host exchange students.

 

Surviving besides his wife Marian are; 3 children, Ken (Linda) Mossner of Birch Run, MI, Jim (Janice) Mossner of Frankenmuth, MI, Wendy (Brian) Davis of Swartz Creek, MI; 8 grandchildren, Kurtis Mossner and fiancé Kaitlin Eisen, Kaleb, Jimmy, Jessica, Jenna, and Joey Mossner, Jonathan and Amanda Davis; 2 brothers, Roy (Barbara) Mossner, Glenn (Marlene) Mossner; 2 sisters, Alice (Dave) Wigley, Frances (Fred) Emling; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mossner, Eugene (Joan) Laux, Wallace (Judy) Laux; exchange student Frank Hanson, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Carl was preceded in death by a brother Ruben Mossner, and sister-in-law Martha Laux.

 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8220 Holland Rd., Saginaw, MI.  Rev. Mark Loest will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.  Carl’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
