Survived By: He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mildred L. Haden, his daughters Kathie L. Fuson and her husband John of Crestline, Ohio and Karen A. Lustig and her husband Mark of Novi, Michigan; grandchildren Paul Campos (Andrea), Roxanne Campos, Kelly Mitton (William), Kyle Lustig, Erin Crowe and Cara Tilford (Mark) and ten great-grandchildren, Haden, Eliana, Noah, Mia, Dylan, Brayden, Charlie, Jack, Matthew, and Emma.

Robert M. Haden passed away peacefully on May 6, 2014. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 26, 1929 to the late Robert and Dorothy (Haslett) Haden Sr. He married Mildred L. Erb on July 23, 1949. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Stella Wisniewski; three sisters-in law, Betty LaPan, Doris Markiewicz, and Evelyn Myers; and two brothers-in-law, Frank Markiewicz and Bernard Myers.
 
 
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mildred L. Haden, his daughters Kathie L. Fuson and her husband John of Crestline, Ohio and Karen A. Lustig and her husband Mark of Novi, Michigan; grandchildren Paul Campos (Andrea), Roxanne Campos, Kelly Mitton (William), Kyle Lustig, Erin Crowe and Cara Tilford (Mark) and ten great-grandchildren, Haden, Eliana, Noah, Mia, Dylan, Brayden, Charlie, Jack, Matthew, and Emma.
 
 
He was a member of Zion Lodge #1 and Masonic F&AM, the American Legion Post 104, Standish, MI, Pinconning Lions Club and the Force Recon Association. Robert was honorably discharged from the Marine Corp in 1954 after serving his country in Korea. He retired from the Detroit Police Department in 1976. Robert and Mildred moved to Pinconning, Michigan in 1976 where they lived for 25 years. He retired from Bay City Chevrolet and Robert and Mildred moved to South Lyon, Michigan in 2000 to be closer to his family.
 
 Robert will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in law, and friend. He was the foundation of his family and his presence will be sorely missed.

 

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11 am from St. Michael’s Catholic Church with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery with military funeral honors under the auspices of the Arenac County Veterans and the U.S. Marine Reserves. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 until time of service.
