Survived By: Diane is survived by her mother, Wilma Britt, and four siblings; Brenda (Dennis) Grabow of Muskegon, Barbara (Mark) Sztanyo of Florence, Kentucky, Bruce (Brenda) Britt of White Lake, and Nancy (Lindsey) Bielby of Tawas City. She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews including Mike (Heather) Sztanyo, Brian (Bridget) Sztanyo, Eric (Witni) Sztanyo, Kori (Jeff) Hopkins, Kelsey (Chad) Yeomans, Clint, Austin and Chrissy Britt, and Justin and Jared Bielby. She is also survived by one aunt, several cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Britt and by long-time friend David Horka.
Affiliations: Diane was born July 19, 1948, in Omer, Michigan to Howard and Wilma (Bueschen) Britt. She graduated from Whittemore-Prescott High School as the class valedictorian in 1966. Diane attended Central Michigan University and graduated with her bachelor's degree from Wayne State University. She graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1983 and served as president of the Cooley Law School Alumni Association from 2005-2006. Diane worked most of her career for the State of Michigan in various departments and served for a time as an administrative law judge. She also worked for Michigan Protection and Advocacy Service after retiring from the State. Diane enjoyed traveling throughout Michigan, antiquing, photography, and taking care of her cat. She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Grand Ledge where she served in various capacities and sang in the church choir for over 25 years. She was also actively involved with the Lansing Opera for several years.

Diane Joyce Britt, age 66, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in Grand Ledge, Michigan.

Diane was born July 19, 1948, in Omer, Michigan to Howard and Wilma (Bueschen) Britt.  She graduated from Whittemore-Prescott High School as the class valedictorian in 1966.  Diane attended Central Michigan University and graduated with her bachelor's degree from Wayne State University.  She graduated from Thomas M. The family would like to thank Diane's friends Sandy Kellen and Jean Pohl, the staff at Fairview Adult Foster Care in Grand Ledge, and McLaren Hospice of Lansing for their special care of Diane.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Grand Ledge and a service will be at the Hale Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home on Saturday, August 2nd at 12:00 Noon.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at Noon.  Interment at Cedar Valley Cemetery, Rev. Dean Muhle will officiate.
