Also surviving are 2 grandchildren; Giannah and Kryton, brothers and sisters; Rick (Betty) Valley, Dan (Bett) Valley, Yvonne (AI) Gulvas, Diane Valley, Mary (Phil) Kovacs, sister- in-law Jean Winslow and brother-in-law Jim (Rose) Wurm, also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Gary Valley, age 71, died on Friday August 8, 2014.  Gary was born on November 6, 1942 in Standish and was the 2nd oldest child of 7 born to the late Ernest and Marie (Raymond) Valley.  Gary married the former Judy Wurm in 1967 and lived in the Standish area near where Gary was raised.  He was a welder at Defoe Shipyard, Brownhoist and Dow Chemical.  He worked to become a Journeyman Electrician and retired as a Master Tradesman after 31 years at Dow.  He farmed his entire life enjoying  using his many skills to fix things both for the farm as well as his many friends.  Mr. Valley is survived by his wife Judy, their son Jeramey (Lori) Valley.  Also surviving are 2 grandchildren; Giannah and Kryton, brothers and sisters; Rick (Betty) Valley, Dan (Bett) Valley, Yvonne (AI) Gulvas, Diane Valley, Mary (Phil) Kovacs, sister- in-law Jean Winslow and brother-in-law Jim (Rose) Wurm, also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his eldest brother Roger.  A life celebration service will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday August 24, 2014 at the Standish Township Hall, 4997 Arenac State Road, Standish, Michigan.   Arrangements by Cremation Society of Mid-Michigan, 1-888-273-3553.  To sign online guestbook visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.
