Bonnie May Baldwin, age 72, of Grayling, formerly of Prudenville, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Munson Medical Center following a brief illness.  The family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Church in Grayling from 10:00 AM Saturday, October 4th until funeral services at 12:00 PM officiated by Dr. Robert Barnett, Pastor.  Burial will be at Beaver Creek Township Cemetery.

 

Bonnie was born July 7, 1942 at Higgins Lake, the daughter of Leonard Russell and Melvina Irene (Jenkins) Apps.  She married Lyle J. Baldwin in West Branch on Valentine's Day in 1978.  They resided in Prudenville until 1985 when they moved to Grayling.  She was a charter member of the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge 1616 and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grayling.  She enjoyed camping, vacations, sewing, gardening and bird watching.  She loved her family, especially the grandchildren.

 

Surviving are her husband, Lyle; children, Harold and Danielle Helsel and Kathleen and Dick Baker all of Grayling; grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Duane, Angie and Lee Barnett, Marie and Angel; great-grandchildren, Pixie, Naomi, Brooklyn and Gibsen; brothers, Richard Apps of Grayling and Larry and Mary Apps of Grand Rapids; sisters, Shirley Dankert of Prudenville and Louise and Don Nagy of Maple Valley; brother-in-law, Eugene and Shirley Baldwin of Davison; sister-in-law, Kathleen Lucas of Houghton Lake, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, James and Russell Apps, and a great-grandson, Harold Helsel.

 

Memorials may be made to the family.
