Calvin "Cal" F. Foss, age 90 of Clare, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at LifeHOUSE Prestige Place in Clare.  Cal was born the son of the late Ernest and Hazel (Brown) Foss on November 29, 1923 in Clare.  He was united in marriage to Doris Zinser on April 10, 1942 in Clare with her predeceasing him on May 22, 2010.  Cal was a graduate of Clare High School; he had served his Country during WWII in the Navy.  Cal had worked for Michigan Bell in installation and repair for 46 years until his retirement.  He was a member of the Clare United Methodist Church and had belonged to the John Q. Look Masonic Lodge.  Cal enjoyed boating, golfing and playing in golf leagues; he liked woodworking, puttering around the house, and being the handyman of the family.

     Cal is survived by his children Sue Ann Thayer of Clare, Tom (Sherry) Foss of Rolling Meadows, Illinois and Patti (Tom) Scott formerly of Fenton; his sister Ruby Alexander of Arizona; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Cal was predeceased by his brothers Edwin, Clair and Jack.

     Visitation and services for Cal will be held at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.  Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 6 P.M. with the services led by Pastor John Kasper to be on Monday at 1 P.M.  Burial will take place in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare.  Memorial contributions may be made to MidMichigan Home Care and Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.  On-line guestbook at www.stephenson-wyman.com
