Passed away Friday August 5, 2016 at her home in Lansing, MI after a brief illness at the age of 92 years. Pearl was born November 7, 1923 in Saginaw County, MI to the late Walter and Myrtle (Merriam) Spencer. Pearl spent most of her life in the Freeland, MI area, with the last six years in Lansing, MI. Pearl was a former member of Freeland Church of God 7th Day, after moving to the Lansing area, Pearl attended the Church of God 7th Day in Owosso, MI. Pearl enjoyed reading the Bible and was very active in her church when she was able. Pearl also enjoyed sewing. On August 24, 1941 Pearl married Floyd A. Turner, he predeceased her on November 19, 2003. Pearl is survived by her children; Edward Turner of Lakeland, FL and Arlene Turner of Lansing, MI. Five grandchildren; David, Britt, Jeremiah, Jessica, Justin and ten great grandchildren also survive Pearl. A daughter; Beverly Kley, a son; Charles Turner, a grandson; Curtis and two sisters; Marion Roche and Alice Merriam have predeceased Pearl.
Funeral and committal services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday August 10, 2016 at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, Freeland. Elder Donald Turrell and Elder Keith Noble will officiate. Burial will follow at Westside Cemetery, Freeland. Friends may call at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, 310 E. Washington St., Freeland, MI on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
