Survived By: George Gilbert Robson Age 77, of Tawas City, Michigan passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas City, Michigan. He was born the son of Henry and Leona (Mitchell) Robson on March 17, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan where he grew up and graduated from Arthur Hill High School. George worked several places in Saginaw and Bay City ending with 3 years as a Deputy Sheriff in Saginaw County. George married his high school sweetheart Kay Beeman on September 20, 1958 and together they shared 58 years of marriage. In May of 1966 he left the Saginaw County Sheriff Department to work for the State of Michigan Conservation Department, later changed to the Department of Natural Resources as a Conservation Officer. Following a few moves around the state he was assigned to Iosco County in late 1969 and retired in Iosco County in 1996. Following retirement George worked as a Mediator with Community Mediation out of Gaylord, Red Hawk Golf Club and Buresh Funeral Home. He was a member of Search and Rescue of Michigan, Huron Shores Chorus, Tawas Bay Players, Tawas Bay Players Singers, South Baldwin Community Theater, Co founder of South Baldwin Community Snowbird Theater and Four Winds Barbershop Chorus in Alabama. George loved hunting, fishing, golf, community theater, singing and time spent with family and friends and morning coffee with Don. George is survived by his loving wife Kay and his children, Julie (David) Culp of Gaylord, and Chad (Lynn) Robson of Whittemore, 2 grandchildren, Erin (Nathan) Veitengruber of West Branch and Alan Robson of Royal Oak; brother Mike (Shirley) Robson of Hale; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and so many dear friends.
