Survived By: Surviving besides his wife Jean are two sons, John S. Beam, Edward C. and Betty Beam; a daughter-in-law, Linda Beam; seven grandchildren, Jim Jr., Jennifer, Dustin, Brian, Rob, Devon and Brittany, ; 12 great grandchildren; his brother, Robert and Mabel Beam; many nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by two sons, James E. and Robert M. Beam.

Son of the late Edward R. and Mary (Hammond) Beam Jr., Edward was born April 12, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves for 12 years. He married Jean A. Stadnika, his loving wife of 65 years, on June 2, 1951. She survives him. Bud was a Deputy Sheriff for Saginaw for a number of years leaving there as Saginaw County Juvenile Officer. He retired from General Motors Security in 1986. Bud enjoyed their cabin on Lake George and touring the back roads of the United States on his motorcycle.

 Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 surrounded by his family. Age 86 years. Son of the late Edward R. and Mary (Hammond) Beam Jr., Edward was born April 12, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves for 12 years. He married Jean A.  Funeral Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Entombment will take place in Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
