Survived By: Surviving besides his wife Joan is one son Jason (Dana) Zann and one daughter Jane (Dr. Ryan) Stanley, six grandchildren: Danika and Deacon Zann, Maxwell, Jackson, Gage and Kai Stanley, one sister Madeline Murawski and a sister in-law Corinne (Val) Kwapis. Dave was predeceased by a brother in-law Fred Murawski.
Affiliations: He was a veteran and served his country with the US Navy from 1962 to 1968. He retired from Dow Chemical Company after several years of dedicated service and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church, Knights of Columbus St. Stephen Council #4102, the League of Catholic Men and Women, PLAV Post #162 and St. George Society. Dave enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting and wood working, where he used his talents to make several pieces of furniture over the years for his grandchildren.

Mr. Zann passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region, age 73. He was born August 17, 1943 in Bay City to the late Marion S. and Irene S. (Piasecki) Zann. David married Joan F. Kolasa in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church on November 30, 1974 and she survives him. He was a veteran and served his country with the US Navy from 1962 to 1968. He retired from Dow Chemical Company after several years of dedicated service and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church, Knights of Columbus St. Stephen Council #4102, the League of Catholic Men and Women, PLAV Post #162 and St. George Society. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church, 1503 Kosciuszko Ave, Bay City, 48708. Fr. Rick Filary will celebrate Mass. Military Honors, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council will immediately follow Mass at the entrance to church.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Monday after 9:00am. A Parish Vigil Service and Knights of Columbus Bible Presentation for Dave will be held Sunday at 7:00pm at the funeral home.
