Ida Mae Nashatka Bowlsby, 80, of Turner, Michigan passed away peacefully January 2, 2017 in Boca Raton, Florida.

Ida was born November 28, 1936 in Whitney Township, Michigan to the late Chester Lloyd and Nola Grace (Finerty) Butts.  She married Joseph Nashatka and they raised two children together, Deborah and Joseph.  After Joseph’s passing, Ida married Walter Bowlsby and he as well preceded her in death.

Ida was a work-a-holic according to her family, but in her spare time she enjoyed listening to music and dancing, travelling to Frankenmuth to listen to the live musical entertainment and crocheting.

Ida is survived by her children, Deborah (Michael) Villanueva of Oakland Park, Florida and Joseph (Laura) Nashatka of Turner, Michigan; six grandchildren, Joseph Nashatka Jr, Brandy Lucas, Leo (Trisha) Nashatka, Rachel (Shawn Malloy), Rebecca (Johnny Goldston), Michael (Lilian) Villanueva Jr; seventeen  great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jaden, Evelyn, Thaddeus, Zekiah, Liv, Isiah, Kiara, Jareb, RaeShawn, Benjamin, Jocelyn, Isabelle, Josephine, Sebastian, Mia, and Makayla; sisters, Helen Groff, Barbara Young, Nola Thompson; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, and husbands, Joseph and Walter, Ida was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Gracelynn Nashatka; brother, Chester Butts, sisters, Thelma McKeller and Evelyn Perkins.

Visitation for Ida will take place Monday, January 9, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home, 15 West Maple Ridge Road, Twining, Michigan 48766.  Elder Donald Wright will officiate the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in Cedar Valley Cemetery in Twining, Michigan.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.  Online condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com
