Survived By: Harriet is survived by her daughters; Jeanette Ford of Durand, Genevieve Hiteshew of Brimley and Christine (William) Gibis of Grand Blanc, sixteen grandchildren, forty five great grandchildren and forty great-great grandchildren.
Affiliations: Harriet was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Flint, she is a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church of Prudenville.

Harriet E. Wendling, age 103, of Prudenville formerly of Flint passed away on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at home with her family by her side.

Harriet was born on July 9, 1913 in Bridgeport, Michigan to Arthur & Catherine (Foote) Morey. She married Cyril E. Wendling on November 16, 1933 in Flint. The couple moved to Prudenville in 1972. Harriet was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Flint, she is a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church of Prudenville. Harriet enjoyed crocheting; she received the 2012 Citizen of the Year Certificate from the Houghton-Higgins Lake Elks for her efforts in making the many lap blankets that she donated to area veterans and to homeless shelters.

Harriet is survived by her daughters; Jeanette Ford of Durand, Genevieve Hiteshew of Brimley and Christine (William) Gibis of Grand Blanc, sixteen grandchildren, forty five great grandchildren and forty great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cyril, son Ronald, brother George and sister Marjorie, son-in-law’s;  Jack Ford and Richard Hiteshew, grandchildren; Dean Hiteshew and Michael Ford. 

Visitation is scheduled for Friday February 3, 2017 at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel from 4-6 pm and on Saturday February 4, 2017 from 10 am until 11 am at St. Robert Bellarmine in Flushing. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday February 4, 2017 at 11 am at St. Robert Bellarmine with Father Anthony Brooks conducting the service. Burial will be at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint following mass. Memorials are asked to be directed to Heartland Hospice at 564 Progress Street, West Branch, MI. 48661 or to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
