Survived By: Lois is survived by her dear husband, Ron; seven loving children, Jerry MacLaren of Houston, Texas, Randy MacLaren of Elwell, Scott MacLaren of Merrill, Art (Lili) Duquette of Kenilworth, Illinois, Maria (Brian) Behnke of Brighton, Rhonda Duquette of Grosse Pointe Woods and Jill (Mark) Wetterquist of Elmhurst, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Rodney (Kathy) Marr of Merrill and sister, Jane Raiger of Brighton.

     Lois Faye Duquette, age 79, of Houghton Lake, formerly of Saginaw, died on February 12, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Lois was born July 22, 1937 in Lafayette Township in Gratiot County to the late Raynold Clare and Thelma Winifred (Randall) Marr.  She married Ronald A. Duquette on August 12, 1980 in Saginaw.  They moved to Houghton Lake in 2005.

     Lois was a licensed practical nurse.  She retired in 1997 after 10 years as an instructor of medical technicians at Ross Medical in Saginaw.  Previously she had worked at St. Francis Nursing Home in Saginaw for 3 years, for Dr. Arnold Rotterman in Breckenridge for 15 years and as a floor nurse at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma for 10 years.

    Lois was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Houghton Lake, sang with the choir and had been past president of the CWC.  She was a past member, choir member and cantor at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Saginaw.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, the Red Wings, Tigers and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     Lois is survived by her dear husband, Ron; seven loving children, Jerry MacLaren of Houston, Texas, Randy MacLaren of Elwell, Scott MacLaren of Merrill, Art (Lili) Duquette of Kenilworth, IL, Maria (Brian) Behnke of Brighton, Rhonda Duquette of Grosse Pointe Woods and Jill (Mark) Wetterquist of Elmhurst, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Rodney (Kathy) Marr of Merrill and sister, Jane Raiger of Brighton.

     The family will receive friends at St. James Catholic Church, 7878 E. Houghton Lake Dr., Houghton Lake, MI 48629, on Tuesday, February 14 from 3 to 8 PM, with a vigil service at 7 PM, and Wednesday from 10 AM until the funeral Mass at 11 AM with Rev. Bernard Tyler officiating. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O.
