Affiliations: Mrs. Eickholt was a founding member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and had worked as secretary for 10 years. She was active in church functions. She enjoyed playing cards and the Mexican Train with her dear friends, cooking, traveling, her pets and rescuing pets.  

EICKHOLT, Joan – of Montrose, age 82, died Friday, February 17, 2017 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose. Rev. Fr. Gordon Reigle officiating. Burial to follow in St. Roberts Cemetery in Flushing. Family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Tuesday from 2-8 PM and at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of Mass at 11 AM. A Parish Vigil service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral Home. Contributions in her memory may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church or Pets In Peril.

 

Joan was born April 12, 1934 in Bay City to the late Frederick and Mary (French) Klopf and was a resident of Montrose her entire life. She married Edward G. Eickholt on September 11, 1954. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2013. Mrs. Eickholt was a founding member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and had worked as secretary for 10 years. She was active in church functions. She enjoyed playing cards and the Mexican Train with her dear friends, cooking, traveling, her pets and rescuing pets.
