Survived By: Surviving besides her husband Richard are three children: John (Julie) Johnson, Steven Johnson and Christine (Steven) Cathcart, five grandchildren: Marc Johnson, Kristopher Johnson, Samantha Cathcart, Alex Johnson and Alyse Johnson, three sisters in-law: Kay Johnson, Joanne (Tom) Keipert and Ruth Sadeckas, one brother in-law, Richard Fierens, many nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by three brothers: Joe, Paul and Edward Sadeckas.
Affiliations: Rita was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bay City. She loved all of the special moments and memories that were made with her loving family and wonderful grandchildren. Rita also had a love for cats, especially her "KC."

     Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region, age 77.  Rita was born January 10, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Peter and Ann (Markolanis) Sadeckas.  She married Richard S. Johnson in Bay City on June 16, 1962 and he survives her.  Rita was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bay City.  She loved all of the special moments and memories that were made with her loving family and wonderful grandchildren.  Rita also had a love for cats, especially her “KC.”

     The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1010 33rd Street, Bay City, 48708.  Pastor John Pankow will officiate.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warriors Project.  www.squiresfuneralhome.com
