Theresa Nancy Garner, 81 of Midland, died March 11, 2017 after a stubborn battle with Parkinson’s disease and related dementia. Nancy was born November 3, 1935 in Bay City, daughter of the late Clyde and Mary (Malloy) Davis. She attended St. Andrews High School in Saginaw, graduating in 1953. On July 2, 1955, Nancy married James F. Garner in Saginaw. She enjoyed travelling, music, helping others, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with The Little Ones (her grandchildren). She was always worrying about one or more of them. Once the majority of her children were old enough to take care of themselves, Nancy went to work at J.C. Penny. There she met several good friends and she and her husband had a blast spending time with them doing a variety of activities. As a travel consultant, Nancy and Jim were able to travel to numerous places around the world including Alaska, Africa, China, and Russia. After her retirement, she became an active volunteer at St. Brigid Catholic Church and at Bullock Creek Elementary School.
