Survived By: Surviving are three children, Nancy and Jerry Smith, Arlington, Texas; Harold Floud, Bridgeport; Norman Floud and his partner Michael Fall, Saginaw; four grandchildren, Shannon (Brian), Tracey (Erik) and Rebecca; six great-grandchildren, Tallon, Kamryn, Zane, Avery, Cassidy and Paisley; many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brenda Smith; 11 brothers and sisters.

 Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus.  Age 92 years.  The daughter of the late Herman and Martha Hartwig, Doris was born on January 31, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan. Doris married Earl Floud on May 24, 1947.  He predeceased her on August 27, 1992. Doris was a member of Countryside Trinity Church.  She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, square dancing, but most of all spending time with her family.  Doris was known as “grandma” to many people other than her family and will always be remembered as a loving, caring and nurturing woman.

 Surviving are three children,  Nancy and Jerry Smith, Arlington, Texas; Harold Floud, Bridgeport; Norman Floud and his partner Michael  Fall, Saginaw; four grandchildren, Shannon (Brian), Tracey (Erik) and Rebecca; six great-grandchildren, Tallon, Kamryn, Zane, Avery, Cassidy and Paisley; many nieces and nephews.  Doris was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brenda Smith; 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Countryside Trinity Church, 4690 Weiss Street. Pastor Kenneth Parker will officiate with interment to follow in Owen Cemetery.  Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Countryside Trinity Church.
