Survived By: James is survived by three children: James (Molly) Anderson, Joseph Anderson and Bonnie (Allan) Bouza, son in-law William Yurcso, nine grandchildren: Laura (Rod Sauseda) Yurcso, Andrew (Diane) Bouza, Ashley (Brent) Reed, Aeric (Jennifer) Bouza, William (Toni) Yurcso, Daniel (Gina) Anderson, Renee (Eric) Plaser, Adrianne (Donald) Firman and Stephanie Yurcso, 21 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly, two sisters Rosella Nietzke and Avon Anderson, two sisters in-law, Judy and Noreen Anderson, many nephews, nieces and cousins. James was predeceased by a daughter Gail Anderson-Yurcso, three brothers: Joseph, George and Jerry Anderson, four sisters: Wave (Clifford) Williams, Agnes (Raymond) Foucault, Ione (Kenneth) Williams and Nioka (Jack) Nichols and in-laws: Alfred Nietzke, Leo (Rita) Hebert and Thelma Hopkins.
Affiliations: James was a WWII veteran and served his country with the US Army. He was a life member of the VFW Post 6950 and the Teamsters Local 486 Retiree's Club. James retired from Tri City Welding Supplies in 1984. He enjoyed reading, traveling, camping, NASCAR and his train collection.

     James passed away Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Heartland-Hampton, age 93.  He was born August 10, 1923 in Fairgrove, Michigan to the late Dewey and Belle (Dora) Anderson.  He married Norene R. Hebert at St. Joseph Catholic Church on August 10, 1946 and she predeceased him on April 8, 2016.  They shared 69 wonderful years together.  James was a WWII veteran and served his country with the US Army.  He was a life member of the VFW Post 6950 and the Teamsters Local 486 Retiree’s Club.  James retired from Tri City Welding Supplies in 1984.  He enjoyed reading, traveling, camping, NASCAR and his train collection.

     Cremation has taken place.  The Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary’s Church, 607 E. South Union Street, Bay City, 48706.  Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will celebrate Mass.  Private inurnment, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council will be held at Calvary Cemetery on Monday.  Friends may call at the church only on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass.  In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Our Lady of Peace Parish Food Pantry.
