Survived By: Survivors include her husband, Dick; daughters Karen (Wally Kimmel) Fisher of Oxford, Julie LaCross of Farwell, and Cheryl Fisher of Lake; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Grace) Knoerr, of Hemlock; and a sister-in-law, Frances Kloha, of Saginaw.

Katherine (Kay) A. Fisher, age 80 of Lake, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Clare.  Kay was born the daughter of the late Oscar and Meta (Keidel) Knoerr on September 16, 1936, in Saginaw.  She was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Fisher on November 13, 1954, in Bay County.  Kay moved to the Eight Point Lake area of Clare County from Saginaw in 1971.  She worked as the Food Supervisor of Farwell Area Schools for many years, as well as being the Executive Director for the Home Builders Association of Central Michigan for 29 years, and Executive Officer of the Eight Point Lake Cottage and Properties Owners Association for 20 years.  Kay and Dick loved to travel, having visited every state in the union, as well as all but two Canadian Providences.  She was a member of the Michigan Airstream Club and wintered for many years in Frostproof, Florida.  Kay enjoyed quilting and was a faithful member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Clare.

Survivors include her husband, Dick; daughters Karen (Wally Kimmel) Fisher of Oxford, Julie LaCross of Farwell, and Cheryl Fisher of Lake; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Grace) Knoerr, of Hemlock; and a sister-in-law, Frances Kloha, of Saginaw.  Kay was predeceased by her brother, Lester Knoerr.

Visitation will be held at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 3, and Thursday, May 4, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M.  A memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Friday, May 5, 2017, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Paul Young officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.  Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.  On-line guestbook at www.stephenson-wyman.com.
