Fischer, Edward C.

St. Charles, Michigan

     Passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 73 years.  He was born April 23, 1937 in Rose City, Michigan to the late Carl and Mary Fischer.  He married Gladys Bell July 6, 1957; she survives him.  He retired from Local #7 Sheet Metal Union.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hemlock.  Ed  enjoyed restoring old cars, hunting and fishing.

     Surviving besides his wife, Gladys, are one son and one daughter and their spouses, William (Wendy) Fischer, Frankenmuth; June (Tom) Nagel, St. Charles; three grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob and Erin; one brother, Patrick Fischer; nieces: Patty Cardoso, Cathy Zieglar, Lisa Hollady; nephew Michael Fischer (deceased) and wife, Julie and their son, Nicholas; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Florence Bell, Tom Aspin, Mary Locke, Don Orr, Betty and Jerry Seaver, Margaret and Jerry Hauman, Nancy Bell, Gilbert and Edna Bell, Benny and Beth Ann Bell, Patty Wesener, Helen and Clair Luce, Martin and Barb Bell.  He was predeceased by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alex Bell, Chester and Rose Bell, Francis Bell, Robert Kushion, Bill Wesener, Catherine Aspin, Marvel Orr.

    Cremation has taken place.  A memorial Mass will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hemlock.  Father Steve Gavit will officiate. Visitation will take place at the church from noon until time of service.
