Florida, Kenneth E., Jr. – of Montrose, age 74, died Sunday, May 7, 2017, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. Tax deductible contributions may be made to "Help Hope Live" –a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, whose mission is to support community-based fundraising for people with unmet medical expenses due to cell and organ transplants. Ken was born April 20, 1943, in Flint, Michigan to the late Kenneth and Josephine (Uphold) Florida. He graduated from Beecher High School in 1962. Ken married Helen Greenbaum on July 30, 1966. He was employed with GM's Chevrolet Mfg. Plant 78 for over 51 years, retiring in 2016. He was also a member of UAW Local 659. Ken currently attended Mayfair Bible Church and was a former member of Riverdale Baptist Church and Pathway Community Church. Ken enjoyed airshows, working on cars and motorcycles, skeet shooting and construction.
