Survived By: Surviving are her four children, Phyllis (Tom) Dale of Roscommon, Barbara Gielincki of Prudenville, Robert (Kacey) Lacey of St. Helen and Gregory (significant other, Brenda Carrier) Lacey of St. Helen; 15 grandchildren, Erick (Courtney), Ashley (significant other, Gunnar), Dominic (Jennifer), Joshua (Kari), Christopher (Reagan), Erin (significant other, David), Anna (significant other, Mitch), Tessa (Tyson), Aaron (Sydney), John, Kristine, Joseph, Andrew, Joleah (Alan) and Jeremy (significant other, Holli); and 17 greatgrandchildren.
Affiliations: Esther had worked as a clerk and typist at Tolfree Memorial Hospital, West Branch. She had been a member of Markey Church, St. Helen Baptist Church and the former St. Helen School Board. She had been a past president of the St. Helen American Legion Post #416 Auxiliary and was also a volunteer for the Roscommon County Literacy Council.

Esther Anne Yaksich, age 88, of Roscommon, died March 31, 2017, at Crawford Continuing Care Center in Grayling.

 

A service will be held Sunday, May 21, at noon at Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen, with a lunch to follow at the Richfield Township Hall. Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Munson Hospice.

 

Esther was born in Fowlerville July 26, 1928, the daughter of Leo and Caroline L. (Wooden) Glover. She lived most of her life in the Roscommon and St. Helen area and had worked as a clerk and typist at Tolfree Memorial Hospital in West Branch. She had been a member of Markey Church, St. Helen Baptist Church and the former St. Helen School Board. She had been a past president of the St. Helen American Legion Post #416 Auxiliary and was also a volunteer for the Roscommon County Literacy Council.

 

Mrs. Yaksich enjoyed crocheting, watching TV, visiting with family and attending kids’ sporting and school events.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Harold Euler, Otis Lacey and John Yaksich; and sons-in-law, Mark Gielincki and Brett Yardley.

 

Surviving are her four children, Phyllis (Tom) Dale of Roscommon, Barbara Gielincki of Prudenville, Robert (Kacey) Lacey of St. Helen and Gregory (significant other, Brenda Carrier) Lacey of St. Helen; 15 grandchildren, Erick (Courtney), Ashley (significant other, Gunnar), Dominic (Jennifer), Joshua (Kari), Christopher (Reagan), Erin (significant other, David), Anna (significant other, Mitch), Tessa (Tyson), Aaron (Sydney), John, Kristine, Joseph, Andrew, Joleah (Alan) and Jeremy (significant other, Holli); and 17 greatgrandchildren.
