Survived By: three children, David (Kathy) Eby of Owensboro, KY, Jeanne (Rick) Chisena of AuGres and Becky (Doug) Shrake of Mooresville, IN; daughter-in-law, Iola Eby of Elkton; grandchildren, Chris (Wendy) Eby, Eric (Christine) Eby, Aaron (Nisha) Chisena, Nathan (Christie) Chisena, Amy (David) Cooney, Allen Eby, Nicholas (Stephanie) Shrake, Andrea (Timon) Eckler, and Celia (Enoch) Jacobus and 20 great grandchildren ages prenatal to 21 years old.

Marie E Eby age 91, of Elkton passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 31, at Scheurer Long Term Care, Pigeon.

      She was born November 14, 1925, in Detroit to the late Fred and Gladys (Moore) Kirk.

      On July 20, 1946, she was united in marriage to Edwin “Ted” Eby at the Coranado Baptist Church in Detroit. They made their home at the south limits of Elkton, raising four children.

       Marie received her Bachelor Degree in education from Central Michigan University and was employed by the Lakers school district for 20 years retiring as an elementary teacher.

      Marie was very artistic and enjoyed painting, quilting, gardening, fishing and singing in the choir at the Elkton Missionary Church where she was a very active member.

     Surviving are three children, David (Kathy) Eby of Owensboro, KY, Jeanne (Rick) Chisena of AuGres and Becky (Doug) Shrake of Mooresville, IN; daughter-in-law, Iola Eby of Elkton; grandchildren, Chris (Wendy) Eby, Eric (Christine) Eby, Aaron (Nisha) Chisena, Nathan (Christie) Chisena, Amy (David) Cooney, Allen Eby, Nicholas (Stephanie) Shrake, Andrea (Timon) Eckler, and Celia (Enoch) Jacobus and 20 great grandchildren ages prenatal to 21 years old. 

      Preceding her in death was her husband Ted and son Jerry; brother, John Daly and sisters, Alice Lindsey and Faye Timm.

     Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, at the Elkton Missionary Church. Rev. Reggie Courliss, pastor will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.

      Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 7 PM Sunday and at the church after 10 AM Monday.
